How to Use the Urine Temperature Strip
1. Prepare the Strip
Ensure the temperature strip is clean and ready for use. If it has adhesive, attach it to the outside of the collection container before sample collection.
2. Collect the Sample
Have the donor provide a fresh urine sample in the container with the strip applied. Make sure the urine contacts the area behind the strip for accurate reading.
3. Read the Temperature
Within 2 minutes of collection, check the strip:
A green bar will appear next to the correct temperature.
Valid fresh urine should register between 90°F–100°F (32°C–38°C).
4. Confirm Authenticity
Compare the reading to the normal range.
Within range: Fresh, valid specimen.
Out of range: Possible tampering, dilution, or substitution.
5. Dispose After Use
The strip is single-use. Discard it safely after testing procedures are complete.
